Every morning there will be a yoga class with Nickie Heape.

The workshops will run from the 5th Sep to the 17th Sep included.

Price for  6 days Accommodation + Daily Yoga, African Dance and Djembe workshops included £480, please ask for a quote if you would like to stay for longer or different dates! Single or double rooms in villas (various sizes villas 2, 3, 4, 6 beds).

Daily Djembe Drumming Intensive Technique & Rhythm and movements of African Dance and daily traditional Hatha Yoga in a most beautiful and  amazing location at the Porto Taverna Beach in Sardinia.
The Teachers:

Graeme Goodwin a Djembefola with 15 years experience learning from Griots from Guinea and Senegal. He has built a Drumming Holiday centre in The Gambia, West Africa where you can train in the art of Guinean Djembe technique. Since 1999 he has trained and studied with Tomas and Gibbi Camara; SuSu Djembe Djeli (Griots) and now is studying with Vieux Bakayoko.

Ansoumana (Vieux) Bakayoko (solo djembe, arrangements, krin, bolon ) began learning his craft at the age of three in Mali, the home of his father. From mixed Malian and Guinean heritage. Leaving home at the age of twelve he travelled to Senegal to study with a series of masters. Before moving to England, Vieux spent fourteen years as lead artist with the Bougarabou, a leading ‘ballet’ troupe.

Since arriving in the UK in 2006 he has 'wowed' audiences at Tribe of Doris, Womad, Winter Drum, Drum Camp, One World and Godiva Festival among others. His arrangements and dynamic stage craft make him unmissable.

He is an outstanding purveyor of his craft and his knowledge of the music and the traditions is second to none.

Saskia Bakayoko (dance, djembe, sangban, douns) began learning djembe in 1997. She has studied with Mamady Keita and latterly with the Ballet Bougarabou in Senegal. Its there that she began her work with traditional Guinean style dance. She has made eight study trips to Africa and is one of the best UK female djembe players.

Todd Tesen is a certified Anusara  Yoga  instructor. He hails from Los Angeles, Ca. where he began his intensive Yoga practice 15 years ago studying Hatha yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and then found Anusara Yoga in 2001. Upon this discovery, he has studied extensively with Anusara founder John Friend, and Dr Douglas Brooks, who is among the world's leading scholars of Hindu tantrism. Through their guidance, he has become an excellent example that anything is possible! Having taught nationally in the USA and in Mexico, he has also traversed Europe, teaching in the UK, Germany, and Greece.
