Jim Rivers is a professional Producer and DJ, regularly playing at the best clubs across the world inc Ministry of Sound London, Space Ibiza, AIR Tokyo, Zouk Singapore and many more. With over 50 releases on some of dance music's biggest labels including Renaissance, Global Underground, Intec and Bedrock and regular plays on Radio 1's specialist dance music shows, Jim has a wealth of experience in the dance music industry. Jim has also gained experience teaching DJing and Music Production in schools, young offenders institutes and youth clubs. This experience is now available for bespoke private tuition with courses that can be custom made to suit a project, ability or timescale providing teaching for the very basics up to professional standard electronic based music. Wether you want to try making music for the first time or you want to develop your skills and knowledge then Jim's courses could be just what you are looking for. Some of the areas covered: - sampling, creating beats, bass-lines, melody lines, arranging and sequencing tracks, using FX creating original sounds, mixing, engineering and sound design. Teaching can be done on your own set up or Jim can provide a laptop based session allowing flexibility and ease. The main platforms of training would be Logic and Ableton Live, but other programs and projects can be accommodated. Geographically London and South East is the main area but all UK based locations considered.
