Come and visit the Historic Heart of Portugal, Central Portugal is full of lush green valleys, crystal clear lakes and rivers, fantastic scenery all surrounded by Historic interest sites. Medieval walled towns, more Castles than you could ever imagine, Roman ruins, churches, and traditional Schisto Villages. All within an hours drive of your beautiful cottage accomadation. Situated just outside the market town of Figueiro Dos Vinhos, Mara's Cottage sits above and looking over a lovely lush wooded valley, complete peace and quite, completely seperate from the main house, and has its own pool, sun/candlelit terrace and BBQ area, shady outside seating area for relaxing.
The cottage sleeps 2 in a high ornately carved double bed, has its own en-suite shower room and toilet.  A Kitchenette so preparing your own light meals is easy,  complete with fridge, hob, toaster, kettle, sink and equipment. Free tea and coffee provided, there is a small dining table for two people plus a lounge area with log burner stove for cosy nights indoors.
Outside there is excellent parking, pool and comfortable outside spaces.
We can provide route maps to all local places of interest, bicycle hire available on request, Picnic lunches  5 euros per head (includes a bottle of wine per couple)for day trips are also available upon arrangement in advance. Vegetarian a speciality!
